Corinne Amor

"Corinne is Energetic, Professional and Reliable"
Vinson Pike, Antisocial-Films Ltd

Previously taken on a Btec national diploma in media makeup and a Foundation level 3 degree Art and design course specialising in textiles providing me with a backbone upon which I was to build, before embarking on the Fda degree in media makeup. This gave me an in-depth practical knowledge of the requirements in this broad field of the Media sphere and provided me with confidences and skills for industry. You will find in me a studious, competent and fun loving person. I would relish the opportunity to undertake work in Theatrical Make-up/ tv / film and prosthetics work lines and embark on the journey to my chosen career path.

From an early age I have had a developing interest in the theatrical arts. This began when I was enrolled into the prestigious Molly Tanner’s Dance School at the age of 4. I appeared in several shows and festivals throughout my childhood into my teenage years. It was this immersion in the arts from such an early age that has led me along my current career path.

The most enjoyable aspect of the theatre for me has been the application of make-up and the importance that it provides to the players on the stage for overall effect. As a consequence my recent courses in Beauty Therapy have provided me with a solid backbone upon which I wish to build. This was subsequently followed by, and coupled with, a 2-year course in Media Make-up. This gave me an in-depth practical knowledge of the requirements in this broad field of the Media sphere. I myself undertook hands on projects, which included the application of theatre make-up for primary and secondary school productions and a horror themed catwalk as a final assessment.

In addition to the above, my work experience saw me conducting face painting for charity and fund raising. This honed my skills in a high-pressure environment, dealing with a demanding audience and sense of achievement gained from raising money for worthwhile causes.

"Corinne is one of the most professional people I have had the pleasure of meeting"
Gemma Lee, Actress

In film I have enjoyed the contemporary work of Peter King and Peter Owen and the prosthetics work on the Lord of the Rings and I find Dave Elsey the Television specialist make-up artist particularly inspiring.

My employment history has given me vital life skills such as the ability to deal with people from a variety of backgrounds and ages. It has also developed my organisational, time management and team building skills.

Previously I took Foundation Art level 3 course specialising in textiles. This is providing me with good research, colour and drawing skills. I value its breadth, creativity and a general visual education. I have enjoyed both freedoms and analytical thinking. I have used a sketchbook to theme and test colour, collage and shape ideas. I have used text to give a graphic edge to my studies.

I am currently graduated from a foundation degree in media make-up continuing my knowledge and skills for the make-up industry preparing me for future work in TV/film or theatre.

You will find in me a studious, competent and fun loving person. I would relish the opportunity to undertake further study in Theatrical Make-up based courses and embark on the journey to my chosen career path.
